The water and the jar

A photo from this time last year.

I've been reading and reading and reading about existential-humanist approaches to psychology and counseling. The current chapter in my textbook is about Logotherapy and Gestalt.

In Gestalt dreamwork, each part of the dream is believed to represent part of the dreamer... And each element can be investigated using expressive methods like art-making and embodiment.

"We are the mirror as well as the face in it.
We are tasting the taste this minute
of eternity. We are pain
and what cures pain, both. We are
the sweet cold water and the jar that pours."

Rumi (translated by Coleman Barks)
