I heard this quote a couple of weeks ago, and I'm still thinking about it... There's wisdom for me here:
"Do not surrender your loneliness so quickly. Let it cut you more deeply. Let it ferment and season you as few human or even divine ingredients can. Something missing in my heart tonight has made my eyes so soft, my voice so tender, my need of God* absolutely clear." – Hafiz
*Instead of the word God here, it makes sense for me to use synonyms like...
mountains
stars
gentleness
flannel and fleece
jasmine flowers
"Something missing in my heart tonight has made my eyes so soft, my voice so tender, my need for jasmine flowers absolutely clear."
