In my new bathroom. (Berkeley, CA)A preparation photo: This is the pink-ish colour I was happy to paint over. (It was quite a bit more rosy in person than it appears in this light.) Today I washed and taped and brushed and rolled. Painting the whole cottage will take multiple days... But I already want to invite you over for a visit. It's going to be cozy.
This is a good way to get to know every bit of the space, including behind the toilet and under the sink. Painting is also chance to listen to CBC podcasts all day. It's also a time for patience. Hmmm. I met a friend of a friend the other day who does this kind of thing to her charming house all the time, and documents the process.
