The plum tree in my backyard
this morning.the earth says, "good morning!"
I want to show you something!
look at how the sun illuminates
small white plum blossoms
and notice the presence
of magnolia flowers –
strong and delicate
can you see them?
does spring make you feel better?
I want to show you
all that is growing this morning
and I want this gentle air
to touch your skin and offer rest
take off your socks
take off your watch
take off your backpack filled with doubt
it's morning!"
