Gargoyles

Last Saturday, Phoenix and I went to a Rumi Concert (with Coleman Barks)

at the Herbst Theatre in downtown San Francisco.

We made good use of an architectural opportunity after the show...

as gargoyles.

Here are some lines from a book called Rumi: Bridge to the Soul by Coleman Barks...

"Remember the proverb, Eat the grapes.
Do not keep talking about the garden.
Eat the grapes" (65)

and

"You are a continuous question about soul.
When the answer comes in,
the question changes,
the way a kindness in grape juice
turns into wine, the way you
were born into this life" (89)
